Pumpkin Halwa

Ingredients: 

  • Pumpkin-1/4 kg
  • sugar-200 grms
  • milk-1/4 litre
  • green cardamoms-2
  • ghee-1/4 cup
  • yellow food colour-pinch(optional)
  • Cashew nut, almonds-10

Method

Step 1

Cut Pumpkin in to long pieces and cut outer smooth layer and cut in to medium size pieces. Grated pumpkin well and keep a side. Heat kadai and melt ghee and fry kaju, almonds and take out and cut in to pieces and keep a side.

Step 2

Add grated pumpkin and fry for 5 mints on low flame and then add boiled milk and cook on low flame. Add green cardamom powder and add ghee little by little and cook on low flame until milk get evaporates.

Step 3

After milk was evaporated add sugar and cook on low flame, add yellow colour if you want, keep on stirring, the sugar will melt and forms syrup. Add kaju Badam pieces and fry until thick consistency comes, take out and serve.

Step 4

Try this different recipe. Adjust sugar as your wish.
