Mixed Leaf Dal

Ingredients

  • Palak – 1 Bundle
  • Methi – 1 bundle
  • Toor Dal – 100 Grams
  • Tamarind – Amla Size
  • Tomato – 1 No
  • Seasoning – 1 T Spoon
  • Green chilli powder – 1 T Spoon
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ T Spoon
  • Ghee – 1 T Spoon
  • Curry leaves – 2 Bunches
  • Coriander leaves – 2 Bunches
  • Onion – 1 No
  • Green Chillies – 5 Nos
  • Red Chillies – 2 Nos
  • Garlic Pods – 2 Nos
  • Cumin – ½ T Spoon

Method

Step 1

Turn on the stove and place the kadai and add the toor dal and fry for 5 minutes then soak for 10 minutes in a water (adding the water shall be triple of the dal quantity) in a cooker Then in the same cooker add onions, Green chillies, tamarind, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric powder, Tomato, chopped methi leaves and chopped palak leaves close the lid and cook for 4 whistles by keep the medium flame.

Step 2

After 4 whistles let the pressure leave the cooker and then open the lid and mash the dal and add salt to the mashed dal

Step 3

Place the seasoning pan and add cumin, red chillies, seasoning ingredients, coriander leaves, curry leaves and fry for 1 to 2 minutes and add this mixture the mashed mixed leaves dal. That’s it your tasty and delicious Mixed leaves dal is ready to serve with rice or Roti.
