  • Brinjal - 1/4 kg
  • cumin - 1 tb spoon
  • cumin powder - 1/2 t spoon
  • greenchilli - 6
  • salt-tasty
  • curry leaves - 2 bunches
  • oil - 1 Tb spoon
  • lemon - 1/2 piece
  • ginger - 1/2 inch size
  • turmeric-pinch
  • curry leaves-1 bunch


Step 1

Cut Brinjal’s in to cubes and soak in salt water. Heat Kadai add some water in that add 1/2 t spoon salt and turmeric pinch and allow to boil for 5 mints. Add Brinjal cubes and cook for 7-10 minutes on medium flame and drain and keep a side.

Step 2

Heat fry pan and heat oil and add cumin seeds and fry for 2 mints and then add onion, green chilli and fry for 2 mints and add chopped ginger and fry for 1 mint. Add curry leaves and fry for 1 mint.

Step 3

Add cook Brinjal’s and mix well and add salt & turmeric powder and fry for 7-10 mints on low flame do not add red chilli powder. Before 1 mint to complete the fry add cumin powder and cook for 1 mint and switch off the stove and keep a side.

Step 4

Serve hot with rice. It was good for rasam or pappu charu or sambar.
