Colocasia Curry with Dry Prawns


  • Colocasia: ¼ Kg
  • Dry Prawns : 100 Grams
  • Tamarind Juice : 2 Tb Spoons
  • Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 Tb Spoon
  • Salt: Tasty
  • Chopped Onions: 1 Cup
  • Green Chillies: 3 Nos
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 T Spoon
  • Sun Flower Oil : 1 Tb Spoon
  • Coriander Leaves: 2 Bunches
  • Curry Leaves: 2 Bunches


Step 1

Peel the Colocasia and cut in to 1 “ pieces and keep aside Clean thoroughly Dry Prawns Keep kadai in the gas stove and pour the 1 tb spoon Oil in to Kadai.Fry the Dry Prawns 2 Min and keep aside

Step 2

In the same Kadai with Oil add the Chopped Onions and fry them until it changes to Gold Colour

Step 3

Now add the green chillies and fry for 1 Min, Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 Min, Add Colocasia pieces to the fried mixture said in the previous point and fry for 1 Min Add turmeric powder ¼ t spoon

Step 4

Add 2 Tb Spoon Red Chilli Powder, Salt and close the lid and cook for 5 MinAdd fried Prawns which we have kept aside and pour tamarind juice and mix wellNow for curry juice you can add some water and cook for 5 Min on medium flameAdd Coriander and curry leaves before taking out from the stoveNow the Colacasia curry with Dry Prawns is ready to serveTasty tip: Serve Hot Hot so that it cannot lost the taste
