Making caramel popcorn at home – Homemade – Theater style

  • Popcorn kernels - 100 grams
  • sunflower oil - 100 ml
  • Brown sugar - 50 grams
  • white sugar - 50 grams
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter - 50 grams


Step 1

Take a kadai with perfect lid, pour oil and heat then Add popcorn kernels and fry on low flame until they pop up Make sure the popcorn kernels should be covered with oil ( Add Enough oil)

Step 2

When they are popping up place the lid and keep the flame medium to low (you can here the sound of popping) When the popping sound stops you can switch off the flame

Step 3

Add popcorn in a wide bowl Remove un- popped corn kernels Heat another pan and add brown sugar and white sugar and allowed to caramelize, keep stirring and cook on low flame, Add butter, salt wait until it turns in to the correct color and texture, Switch off and add popcorn, Mix nicely in hot stage only, you can use another vessel for easy to mix

Step 4

Pre heat the oven at 120 degree centigrade - transfer the popcorn in a baking try, for extra crunch bake for a\bout 10 minutes at 120 degree centigrade Place the popcorn and bake for 10 minutes

Step 5

thats it your tasty theater style caramelized popcorn ready to eat with your family
