- Brinjals - 1/4 Kg
- Onion - 1 No Med Size
- Green Chillies - 4 Nos
- Tomatoes - 2 nos Med Size
- Tamarind - Lemon Size
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 T Spn
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 T Spn
- Salt - Tasty
- Ghee - 1 T Spn
- Oil - 1 Tb Spn
- Seasoning - 1 T Spn
- Garlic Pods - 3 Nos
- Red Chillies - 2Nos
- Cilantro - 2 bunches
- Sambar Powder - 1 Tb Spn
Soak Toor Dal for 15 Minutes and then cook for 3 Whistles allow to release the pressure and mash the dal like smooth paste and keep aside
Heat Kadai add Ghee and oil heat for 1 Minute crackle seasoning and add garlic pods red chillies and fry for 2 minutes then add onions and green chillies fry for 2 minutes
add Brinjal pieces saute for 5 minutes when the brinajl pieces were tendered add toor dal paste then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and tamarind juice then add 2 cups of water. Now cook on medium flame for 15 minutes then add sambar powder followed by cilantro cook for 2 minutes
then thats all your easy and tasty Brinjal Sambar ready to serve Hot this can be served with rice.
Note: you can change the quantity of Tamarind and cilantro as per your taste.
