- Bread – 5 slices
- Ghee - 100 grams (1/2 Cup)
- Boiled and cooled milk - 200 ml
- Sugar - 100 grams ( 1 cup)
- Almond – 10
- Cashew nuts – 15
- Green cardamoms - 3
Cut the bread slices to tiny pieces. it is optional that you can cut the sides of the slices (Brown colour portion).
Heat kadai or a heavy bottomed pan with ghee. Reserve 2 tblsp of ghee for later use. Fry cashew nuts on low flame and keep a side then Fry almond pieces also and keep a side.
In the same Kadai add some more ghee and add the bread slices roast until slices turns to golden brown colour.
Heat Non Stick Kadai and add Sugar and then add equal amount of water to the sugar (i.e for one cup of sugar one cup of water) and make make single thread (Consistency) sugar syrup Tip: when bubbles comes like this syrup was ready that time the syrup will be in gummy.
at this consistency add the already fried bread slices mix well and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on Low flame after 20 to 15 minutes add the green cardamom powder (or crushed cardamom) then add milk mix well , add already fried alonds & cashew nuts and then cook until dry state (that means all the milk will evaporates after few secons switch of the stove
thats it you tasty Bread halwa is ready to serve after garnishing with some dry fruits
