Healthy Bitter Gourd Gravy curry


  • Bitter gourd- ¼ kg
  • Onion-1
  • Tomato-1
  • Green chilli-2 Nos
  • Jaggery- amla size
  • Red chilli Powder- 2 T spoons,
  • Turmeric- ½ T spoons,
  • Salt- tasty
  • Curry leaves- 2 bunches,
  • Tamarind- small,
  • Oil- 2 T spoons


Step 1

Scrap & peel Bitter Gourd, then wash, cut both sides then cut in to pieces, Remove big seeds, Take a Bowl, add salt and turmeric, mix well and keep a side, cut onions, green chillies and tomato, add tamarind to water and soak for 3 minutes

Step 2

Turn on gas stove heat kadai, heat Oil, and then add onions, green chilli saute for 3 to 5 minutes, Add bitter gourd pieces, fry for 5 minutes, and add tomato, fry for 2 minutes, then add tamarind juice, add water, add salt and redchilli powder, mix well and make sure all the masalas are mixed then cook for 10 minutes, then add Jaggery and cook for 2 minutes, add curry leaves, cook for 1 minutes.

Step 3

That’s it your tasty and healthy bitter gourd gravy curry is ready to serve with Rice.
